There's some construction going on down the street, and Hannah is obsessed with the "tractors" that are moving the dirt around. She was telling Elmo and the raccoon about it and took them out to the deck for a better look.

A visit to the pumpkin patch

We had another phenomenal October day—73 and sunny—so we decided to hit the pumpkin patch. I got out my big camera for the occasion and apparently took 114 photos. Don't worry—I narrowed them down a bit for this post :)

She spent most of the time creating rows of small pumpkins.

This was an accidental photo that happened as I was wrestling my camera from her grasp. She really likes the click sound it makes when she presses the button.

We had a wonderful dinner with Baby Beatrix's family on Saturday night. She is 3 weeks older than Simon--but he's already larger! (He is without clothes due to a rather impressive burping up incident that occurred just as we arrived at their front door.)

We took a big long walk to a donut shop. Hannah found us a good table. 

Then we went to a school playground where Hannah liked to "swing on tummy."

Friday

We've been enjoying unseasonably warm weather here, so I decided to pick Hannah up from daycare a little early so she could play in the park. I arrived when her classmates were being rounded up on the playground. 

Hannah enjoyed the park with the fawn she had taken to daycare today. 

Then there was a bit of a tantrum when I wouldn't let her climb the giant chain ladder while holding a stuffed deer. 

Hannah insisted on carrying her lunch bag in one arm and her deer in the other on our walk home.
